| The partnership of Custom Furniture Works was formed to serve the St. Louis areas furniture refinishing and upholstery needs. The partners, Monte Gibbs and Jeff Gibbs, had both operated small one to two men shops, primarily out of their homes before joining together. The first outside location was in Manchester on Old Sulphur Springs Road. It was at this location that the growth of Custom Furniture Works became inevitable. Our services were in constant demand, and despite the hiring of several additional employees, the need for more employees and more space was apparent. In September 1993 the move to 300 Meramec Station Road in Valley Park was complete. Throughout the next nine years, equipment was updated with efficiency and productivity as the goal, all aspects of the organization were reviewed for constant professionalism and quality, and customer and employee relations continued to grow. In May of 2002 we moved to our current location in Dogtown - 6727 Manchester Road. We have an "overflow stripping" booth - we do not dip any pieces. And our finish booth is top of the line. We are very proud of our shop and welcome our customers to stop in anytime to see how the process is done. |

Those businesses with store front operations are limited to primarily either refinishing or upholstery. In addition, the prices charged and quality produced by these operations varies greatly. |

Furthermore, Custom Furniture Works strives to maintain a balance between price, service, quality and timeliness. In this way, we believe we offer the St. Louis customer a unique service. Custom Furniture Works employs experienced professionals in all key phases of production. We strive at all times to supply our employees with the tools and materials needed to produce a quality product. We are continually updating and upgrading. |
