| To tell if your chair is hand caned or sheet cane -- look where the edge of the cane meets the wood. If you can see holes drilled into the wood, then it is hand caned. If you see a solid piece of caning (spline) around the edge, then it is sheet cane. |

| This particular rush seat shows a few different finish options. The left half is the natural material with no finish applied. The top right is with a clearcoat. The bottom right is done with glazing to give it a little more of an aged look. |
